- 150g cacao buttons
- 1/2 cup (60g) raw cacao powder or cocoa
- 1/2 cup agave, maple, rice malt or date syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 cups favourite chunks e.g toasted nuts, marshmallows, coconut, jellies
- pinch sea salt
method
Mix all together over a double boiler until melted and smooth. Taste for sweetness and add more if required.
Now your chocolate is ready, mix in all your favourite chunks. We used toasted nuts, shredded coconut, chopped marshmallows, red jubes, sprinkles, chunks of white Vego and anything else hanging around that needs to be used up..the more chunkiness the better at our place. Pour it all into a lined slice pan and refrigerate for a few hours. Cut into small squares. Store in fridge.
